As a Data Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure to support analytical and operational needs. This role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Designing and developing data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from diverse sources
- Building and maintaining data warehouses, lakes, and other storage solutions
- Ensuring data quality, reliability, and security across the data lifecycle
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Implementing and optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Monitoring and troubleshooting data systems to maintain high performance
Job Requirements
We’re looking for innovative and detail-oriented professionals with a passion for working with data. While specific requirements may vary by project, ideal candidates will have the following skillset and experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend)
- Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their data services
- Expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and query optimization
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Swedish is a plus)
